Once upon a time, in the unusual kingdom of Snazziland, there was a king named Benedict. He ruled the country from a train car on the subway. Yes, you heard that right, a train car on the subway! But that’s not even the most absurd part. His throne was an old suitcase, and his cat, who slept on a cardboard box, was his most trusted advisor.
King Benedict held all of his important meetings on the train. Foreign dignitaries, ambassadors, and even neighboring monarchs would come to the subway car to discuss matters of state. But the commuters who shared the train with Benedict were tired of seeing him all the time. They couldn’t stand the constant delays and the gross, dirty surroundings.
Despite the unpleasant conditions, King Benedict remained undeterred. He took his duties as a monarch seriously and was loved by his people for his quirky nature. However, there were whispers that he was becoming too eccentric. The fact that he ruled from a train car only added fuel to the fire.
One day, King Benedict decided to address the growing rumors. He ordered a massive throne to be built on the subway platform. The throne was made out of recycled materials, including discarded soda cans and old newspapers.
The people of Snazziland were baffled by the new throne, but Benedict was delighted. He sat on his new throne with pride, and his cat, Mittens, sat beside him, surveying the crowds with disdain.
The commuters on the train couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw the new throne. They were even more annoyed when they found out that Benedict would still hold his meetings on the train. It seemed like nothing would deter him from his odd habits.
But as time went on, the people of Snazziland grew to love their quirky king even more. They embraced the absurdity of his rule and saw it as a symbol of their unique and unconventional kingdom. King Benedict continued to rule from his train car on the subway, and the people of Snazziland lived happily ever after.
